terms of service

The terms we work on

Plain English, because the people signing up read contracts for a living and can tell when one is padding.

the service

What Nexus is

Nexus is a research tool for Chartered Accountants. You ask a tax or regulatory question; it returns a structured answer grounded in Indian statute, rules, notifications, circulars and case law, with a citation on every proposition that opens the source it rests on.

It reads from a knowledge graph built out of official Government of India sources. Where it cannot ground a claim, it is required to say so rather than fill the gap.

the limit

What Nexus is not

Nexus drafts; the Chartered Accountant signs. Verify every citation against its linked official source before you rely on it.

Nexus does not give legal, tax or investment advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship between you and us. The professional judgement — and the signature, and the responsibility that comes with it — remains the Chartered Accountant's. Nothing the product returns is a substitute for that.

It is an AI system and it can be wrong. It can misread a provision, miss an amendment, or state a number that does not follow from its own workings. That is why every claim carries a citation you can open, why the confidence on an answer is capped when nothing was cited, and why every export carries this same line. Check the source before you rely on it.

your work

Who owns what

Your questions, your documents and the answers you generate are yours. They are your firm's work product. We do not claim ownership of them, we do not use them to train models, and we do not share them with other firms.

The product itself — the software, the knowledge graph, the way an answer is assembled — remains ours. Statutory text quoted inside an answer is Government of India material and is nobody's to own.

your account

What we ask of you

Keep your sign-in to yourself; seats are per person, and an audit log records exports, invitations and joins. Do not use Nexus to break the law, to attack the service, or to scrape the corpus wholesale for a competing product.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Client documents should reach us because your engagement lets them.

availability

When it breaks

Nexus is provided as it is, without a contractual uptime commitment today. A deep answer can take several minutes; the AI provider can be unavailable; the corpus can lag an amendment published hours ago. We monitor for those and we tell you in the product when an answer could not be grounded.

awaiting legal review
Limitation of liability, indemnity, warranty disclaimer, suspension and termination, governing law and dispute resolution, and any service credits. The intended position is a liability cap at fees paid in the preceding twelve months, Indian law, and courts at the company's registered seat — but the wording is not settled and this paragraph is not it.
data

What we do with your data

Set out in full in the privacy notice, which names every sub-processor, the region each one is in, and how long each kind of record is kept. You can export or erase everything from your account page.

changes

When these terms change

These terms carry a version (2026-08), recorded against your account when you accept them. A material change bumps the version and you are asked again. Questions to info@nexusca.ai.
